Sophie Pakenham MChiro, D.C.
Sophie Pakenham grew up in Wiltshire and has returned to Swindon Chiropractic Clinic following completion of her four year course, graduating from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic, University of South Wales with a Masters in Chiropractic Degree. She became interested in chiropractic at the age of 13 having sustained an injury during trampoline training. From the chiropractic care both she and her family members received, she saw how chiropractic can significantly improve the quality of life. Sophie also worked at the clinic as a receptionist on Saturdays for 3 years.
Sophie spent her final clinic based year in South Wales treating a variety of conditions ranging from pregnancy-related back pain to sports injuries. This included pitch-side chiropractic treatment to the referees at the European Touch Rugby Championships. Another area of professional interest is the use of exercises between clinic visits to complement treatments, encouraging patients to take an active role in managing their conditions. Sophie has also completed extra-curricular courses in dry needling. In the future, Sophie plans to pursue her keen professional interests in treating pregnancy-related back pain.
Sophie, now living in the Swindon area, enjoys running, swimming and general fitness and wellbeing. She also enjoys watching sport, baking and travelling.
